Vice President, Technology Strategy and Innovation

A strong communicator and technology expert, Daniel has a passion for law, innovation and consulting. He joins INNOV-8 after a long career as a legal solutions consultant, working with corporations, government agencies, legal technology providers and international law firms. Prior to INNOV-8, Daniel worked as a Legal Solutions Consultant at Ricoh Canada and a Litigations Solutions Specialist at LexisNexis. Throughout his career, he has successfully delivered innovative solutions to complex legal, litigation and business problems. Daniel is a strategic and innovative thinker with a proven ability to help clients use technology to increase business efficiency.

Rhonda Bentham

Vice President, Service Delivery and Operations

After starting her career as a computer programmer, Rhonda spent more than a decade working for e-discovery software companies in the United States and Canada. She moved to Toronto and spent five years as a litigation support case manager at McCarthy Tetrault before holding similar positions at RBC and Torys LLP. Most recently she was a senior director at H&A eDiscovery, which was acquired by Epiq in 2019. Rhonda earned her DEP in computer science technology from Vanier College in Montreal.

With over 23 years of technology and e-discovery experience at McCarthy Tetrault LLP, Bryan brings to INNOV-8 a strong understanding of developing and maintaining high standards of efficiency and data security, while delivering top-quality work and exemplary service to some of Canada’s most sophisticated clients. Calm under pressure, Bryan thinks outside-the-box, looking always for innovative ways to meet client demands in an ever more complex world.

Bryan is a trained computer application support specialist, holds a certificate in e-discovery, and maintains his Relativity One Certified Professional and Processing Analyst certifications.

Principal Forensics Consultant

Blair is a digital forensic analyst with 23 years of experience working in both the public and private sector. He has provided expert witness testimony many times at various levels of the courts and assisted in the execution of Anton Pillar orders. He provides expertise and training in the areas of digital media forensics, cyber risk assessment and ediscovery support services. A firm believer in lifelong learning Blair has a MSc in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation and maintains several industry certifications including Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) and Certified Forensic Examiner (GIAC).

Mitch has over 25 years of wide-ranging experience in the legal services sector, from BigLaw partner and General Counsel to strategy and transformation advisor for in-house legal departments and law firms. He is a Fellow of the prestigious College of Law Practice Management, a Fastcase 50 Global Legal Innovator, and the Gowling WLG Visiting Professor in Legal Innovation at the University of Calgary Law School. He has written many thought leadership pieces on legal service transformation and has authored the critically-acclaimed books The Great Legal Reformation: Notes from the Field and Avoiding Extinction: Reimagining Legal Services for the 21st Century. With an ICD.D designation in corporate governance, Mitch has also served on boards of directors for both innovative legal services start-ups and major real estate companies.

Principal Technical E-discovery Consultant

With over 15 years of business consulting experience, Gerald brings to INNOV-8 an expertise in data management and security, information management, technology and innovation. Beginning his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he was the Manager of Forensic Technology Solutions for over 7 years. At PwC, he was directly involved in data management and technology architecture projects. He developed business cases for the enhancement of e-discovery, forensic and document management tools, which directly improved service offerings and processing efficiency. Gerald has worked with financial institutions, law firms and government entities on business management, litigation support, security investigation and electronic document and evidence management services. He also has extensive experience in business architecture, transformation, analysis and operations management.
